SIMPLE, FAST, RELIABLE

How Foodservice Equipment Repair Works

Here’s what to expect from your first call until your kitchen is running again.

Call or Request Online

Call 508-419-9010 or request service online. Tell us what’s happening, even if you’re not sure which unit is the cause, plus any error codes and the make and model if you have them. Emergencies such as a warm walk in or a gas smell go to the front of the line.

Rapid Dispatch

We dispatch a technician who covers your town, from Wellfleet to Plymouth. Because Harris Warren services every category, you get one technician who can follow the problem wherever it leads, rather than a refrigeration company, a cooking equipment company and an HVAC contractor visiting on three different days.

Diagnose & Repair

Your technician diagnoses the root cause on site and repairs it with parts from the van when they’re in stock. If a part has to be ordered, you’ll hear what it is and when it’s expected before the technician leaves, and we’ll help you keep running safely in the meantime.

Test, Document, & Follow Up

Every repair is tested under real operating conditions, documented for your records and backed by Harris Warren’s 90 day parts and labor guarantee. If the same problem returns within 90 days, we come back and fix it.

Highly Skilled Technicians

Harris Warren technicians train through Tech24 University across cooking, refrigeration, dish, beverage and HVAC equipment, with live video support from senior experts when they meet an unfamiliar fault.

We Stock the Most Commonly Used Parts

Vans carry the parts that fail most across every category, from thermocouples and igniters to fan motors, start relays, dispenser tubes and gaskets, so more repairs finish on the first visit.

90-Day Guarantee

Every repair is backed by Harris-Warren's 90-day guarantee on parts and labor. If the same problem returns within 90 days, we come back and fix it at no charge.

Planned Maintenance Programs

One maintenance plan can cover the whole kitchen: burner inspection, thermostat calibration, coil cleaning, gasket checks, ice machine sanitizing and HVAC service, scheduled around your season.

All Fuel Types & Configurations

Natural gas, propane, electric, steam and dual fuel equipment, with atmospheric and infrared burner systems, across 44 authorized manufacturers and many more we service.

One Call For The Whole Kitchen

Cooking, refrigeration, ice, dish, beverage and HVAC from one team and one number, 508-419-9010. When problems cross from one system to another, nobody points at another vendor.

Why do my breakers trip when the whole line is running?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

Too much equipment on one circuit, often after new equipment was added, or a failing heating element or motor drawing extra current. Repeated trips mean something is overheating. We find which unit is at fault and coordinate a licensed electrician if the circuit itself needs work. Stop resetting it and call.
Why are the flames on my gas equipment yellow or lifting off the burners?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

Incorrect gas pressure, dirty burners, a misadjusted air shutter or equipment set up for natural gas running on propane, or the reverse. Yellow, lazy flames produce soot and carbon monoxide. Stop using the unit, ventilate the kitchen and call for a gas pressure and burner check.
Why did several pieces of equipment fail at the same time?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

Usually a shared supply problem rather than several separate failures: a tripped breaker or failing circuit, a drop in gas pressure, or a water supply issue. Fixing units one by one misses the real cause. Call once and describe everything that’s down, so the technician starts at the source.
Why does the same equipment keep failing after it's been repaired?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

The repair treated a symptom instead of the root cause, a non specification part was used, or a problem in another system keeps causing the failure, such as poor ventilation overheating a refrigeration unit. Ask for a full diagnosis rather than another part swap.
Why is my equipment showing errors after a storm or power outage?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

Power surges and brownouts during nor’easters and summer thunderstorms can damage control boards, sensors and motors, and some equipment needs a proper reset after an outage. Note which units show codes before power cycling anything, and call if they don’t clear.
Why is water pooling under more than one piece of equipment?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

A clogged floor drain or shared drain line, condensate from refrigeration or HVAC backing up, or a leaking supply line. Standing water is a slip hazard and can damage floors and equipment bases. Find where it starts if you can, and call.
Why does my equipment break down in July but run fine all winter?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

Summer volume runs equipment longer and hotter, kitchen air gets hotter, and maintenance that was put off in spring catches up. On the Cape, the busiest weeks are also the hardest on equipment. A pre season maintenance visit catches the worn parts that fail first.
Why are my kitchen repair bills climbing every year?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Low

Aging equipment, maintenance that’s been skipped, and repairs spread across several vendors with no one tracking the whole kitchen. A single maintenance plan and one service partner make it easier to see which units are worth repairing and which should be replaced.
