Start your day

You’ll start in a company van stocked with the parts and tools you need, and a uniform that tells customers exactly who just walked into their kitchen.

Visit job sites

Most days you’ll visit three to four job sites. On Cape Cod that might mean a Hyannis restaurant, a school kitchen in Barnstable and a resort in Harwich Port, working on everything from fryers and combi ovens to ice machines, walk in coolers and rooftop HVAC units.

Access the latest technology

GPS dispatching sends the closest available technician to each call, and the Tech24 mobile app lets you close out work orders, pull up resources and connect with senior technicians by video when you hit a problem you haven’t seen before.

Draw on Tech24 University training

Every repair builds on your Tech24 University training, with clear steps to grow your skills and move up as you gain experience.

Call it a day

You head home knowing the kitchens you fixed today are open tonight. That’s a skill set restaurants, schools and resorts on the Cape can’t do without.

What jobs does Harris Warren hire for on Cape Cod?

Harris Warren mainly hires field service technicians who repair, install and maintain commercial kitchen equipment and HVAC across Barnstable and Plymouth Counties. That includes cooking, refrigeration, ice, warewashing and HVAC technician roles covering Cape Cod, the South Shore, and the South Coast.

Openings change through the year, so check the current job postings. If nothing matches your background, use the Don’t See Your Role? option to join the talent network and we’ll contact you when a fit opens up.

Do I need experience to become a Harris Warren technician?

No. Tech24 University trains technicians from entry level through advanced work, so mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn can get you started. Experienced technicians are welcome too, and those with three or more years can use fast track interview scheduling.

If you’re coming from residential HVAC, appliance repair or another trade, a lot of what you know transfers directly. Commercial kitchen equipment adds gas, steam and high volume refrigeration, which is exactly what the training covers.

How does fast track interview scheduling work?

Technicians with three or more years of experience can book an interview directly from the careers page, choosing a time that works for them instead of waiting for a callback. It’s the quickest route from application to conversation.

Have your experience ready: the equipment types you’ve worked on, any certifications such as EPA Section 608, and the areas of Cape Cod or Plymouth County you can cover.

What if I don't see a job that fits me?

Send your resume anyway. The Don’t See Your Role? option adds you to the Harris Warren talent network, and we’ll keep your information on file and reach out when a matching role opens.

This works well for experienced technicians planning a move to the Cape, or for anyone who wants to be first in line when a position opens before the busy season.

What training will I get?

You’ll train through Tech24 University, which uses a CFESA based curriculum and small classes of up to 12 students. Training covers electrical, gas, steam and refrigeration equipment, from entry level through advanced repair.

Learning continues on the job. Senior technicians and trainers can join by live video when you hit an unfamiliar problem in the field, so you’re never stuck guessing on a customer’s equipment.

What is the work like through the year on Cape Cod?

Summer brings the heaviest call volume, as restaurants, inns and seasonal businesses run at full capacity. The rest of the year stays busy with school and year round customers, spring startup work and equipment installs over the winter.

That cycle means variety. You’ll handle emergency repairs in peak season and larger install and maintenance projects in the quieter months, which builds skills faster than doing the same kind of call all year.
