FAST COMMERCIAL KITCHEN REPAIR

Restaurant Kitchen Repair

Restaurants make up most of Harris Warren’s work, and we know what the Cape does to a restaurant kitchen: quiet winters, then a summer of full dining rooms, fryers running from lunch to close and ice machines that can’t keep up on a July Saturday. Our technicians live across Barnstable and Plymouth Counties and repair the whole kitchen, from the cook line to the walk in to the rooftop unit.

Every repair is backed by Harris Warren’s 90 day parts and labor guarantee.

Planned maintenance lowers your repair costs and cuts unplanned downtime. Call us at 508-419-9010 to build a program around your menu, hours and season.

Who repairs restaurant equipment on Cape Cod?

Harris Warren Commercial Kitchens, based in West Yarmouth, has repaired restaurant equipment across Barnstable and Plymouth Counties since 1987. Its technicians handle cooking, refrigeration, ice, dish, beverage and HVAC equipment, and restaurants make up most of its work.

That covers seafood shacks and year round dining rooms, breakfast spots and coffee shops, bars, and franchise restaurants along the Route 132 corridor, from Falmouth to Wellfleet and across the canal to Plymouth.

How quickly can you reach a restaurant with equipment down during service?

Harris Warren technicians live across Barnstable and Plymouth Counties, so the one sent to you usually already works your side of the canal. Calls that affect food safety or stop service, such as a warm walk in, a dead fryer or a gas smell, are prioritized.

Summer traffic at the bridges and on Route 28 is real, so when you call, tell us your town and what’s down. It helps dispatch send the closest technician with the right parts.

Can one company service every piece of equipment in my restaurant?

Yes. Harris Warren repairs cooking, refrigeration, ice, dish machines, beverage equipment and the HVAC, exhaust and make up air above them. One number and one team cover the whole restaurant.

That matters because restaurant problems cross categories. A fryer pilot that keeps going out can be an exhaust imbalance, and a struggling walk in can be a failing rooftop unit. One technician can follow the problem wherever it leads.

What restaurant equipment fails most often during a Cape Cod summer?

Fryers, ice machines, walk in coolers and air conditioning take the hardest hit. Summer volume keeps fryers running for hours, hot kitchens cut ice production, deliveries and open doors load walk ins, and humid days push rooftop units to their limit.

Most of these failures give warning signs first: slow recovery, rising temperatures, pilots going out or units running constantly. A check before the season and another at its peak catches most of them before a busy weekend.

How should a restaurant get its kitchen ready for the season?

Book a startup visit four to six weeks before opening. Have gas connections checked, thermostats calibrated, refrigeration coils cleaned, the ice machine sanitized, dish machine temperatures or chemicals verified, and the exhaust and HVAC tested.

That timing leaves room to order any worn parts before Memorial Day, when every service company on the Cape is at its busiest and a breakdown costs you the most.

Should I repair or replace aging restaurant equipment?

Repair when the unit is sound and the fault is a part such as a thermostat, gasket, fan or valve. Consider replacing when a major component fails on an older unit, repairs keep coming back or one repair approaches half the cost of new equipment.

Because Harris Warren sells and installs new equipment as well as repairing it, your technician can price both options on the same visit, and help you time a replacement for the off season instead of the middle of summer.

How can I keep equipment from causing a failed health inspection?

Most equipment related violations come from temperatures: cold holding above 41°F, hot holding below 135°F or a dish machine that isn’t reaching its sanitizing temperature or chemical level. They drift slowly, so they’re easy to miss.

Log temperatures daily, test dish machine sanitizer every day, and have thermostats and dish machines calibrated during maintenance visits. Every Harris Warren visit is documented, which gives your town’s board of health inspector a clear record.

Do you work with restaurant groups and franchises?

Yes. Harris Warren can put multiple restaurants on one account, with one number, one maintenance schedule and service records for every location in one place, whether you run two cafes in different Cape towns or a franchise group across both counties.

For locations outside Barnstable and Plymouth Counties, Harris Warren is part of Tech24, whose national network can coordinate service while you keep one point of contact.

Do you charge more for nights, weekends and holidays?

After hours, weekend and holiday service may carry overtime rates, and you approve overtime before the call is scheduled, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

On Cape Cod, weekends and holidays are when restaurants can least afford to be down, and a maintenance plan is the best way to avoid needing those calls. When a repair can wait until the next business day, choosing that option usually avoids overtime.

Do you handle warranty repairs on new restaurant equipment?

Often, yes. Harris Warren is an authorized service provider for many of the 44 manufacturers it services, so warranty repairs on those brands can usually be handled locally, with the labor covered by the manufacturer under the warranty terms.

Have the model and serial number ready when you call. If Harris Warren installed the equipment, we already have the details and can file the warranty claim for you.
