SIMPLE, FAST, RELIABLE

How Beverage Equipment Repair Works

Here’s what happens from your first call until your drinks are pouring right again.

Call or Request Online

Call 508-419-9010 or request service online. Tell us the machine and what it’s doing: pouring flat, not freezing, not making ice, brewing weak. For soda systems, check your CO2 tank and syrup boxes first; an empty tank is the most common cause of a flat pour and saves you a service call.

Rapid Dispatch

A technician who covers your town is dispatched, with ice machines and soda systems prioritized during service hours in summer. On a July afternoon, a Hyannis bar without ice or a Dennis snack stand without frozen drinks is losing sales every hour, and dispatch treats it that way.

Diagnose & Repair

The technician finds the cause, whether it’s a failed carbonator pump, a worn frozen drink beater, a scaled coffee heating element or a clogged ice machine water filter, and repairs it with parts from the van when they’re in stock. If a part has to be ordered, you’ll hear what and when.

Test, Document, & Follow Up

Before leaving, the technician tests the output: a full cup poured at the right ratio, a batch frozen to consistency, a harvest cycle of clear ice or a brew at proper temperature. The work is documented and backed by Harris Warren’s 90 day parts and labor guarantee.

Highly Skilled Technicians

Harris Warren technicians train through Tech24 University and cover the full range of beverage equipment, from the refrigeration circuit in an ice machine to the water chemistry that decides how your coffee and espresso taste.

We Stock the Most Commonly Used Parts

Vans carry the beverage parts that fail most: water inlet valves, water filters, float switches, carbonator pump parts, frozen drink beater blades and seals, heating elements and thermostats, so more calls end in one visit.

90-Day Guarantee

Every repair is backed by Harris-Warren’s 90-day guarantee on parts and labor. If the same problem returns within 90 days, we come back and fix it at no charge.

Planned Maintenance Programs

Scheduled ice machine cleaning and sanitizing, filter changes, descaling of coffee and hot water equipment, carbonator checks and frozen drink machine service, timed so everything is ready before summer and checked again at its peak.

All Equipment Types & Configurations

Countertop, plumbed in and drop in units, from a single coffee brewer in a breakfast spot to the ice machines, fountains and frozen drink machines behind a busy beach bar.

Why won't my chowder or soup dispenser stay hot enough?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

A failing heating element, a thermostat out of calibration or a dispenser that was loaded with soup that wasn’t hot enough to start. The Food Code requires hot held food at 135°F or above; below that, it has to be reheated or discarded. Check the temperature with a probe and call if it won’t hold.
Why does my ice taste or smell off?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

Slime or mold growing in the bin and evaporator, an overdue water filter, or ice scooped with hands or glasses. Under the Food Code, ice is food, and contaminated ice is a health risk and an inspection violation. Stop serving it, empty the bin and book a cleaning and sanitizing.
Why isn't my frozen drink machine freezing on a hot afternoon?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

A mix with the wrong sugar ratio, a dirty condenser struggling in a hot bar, or worn beater blades and scrapers. Frozen drink machines lose capacity fast when the air around them is hot. A machine that won’t freeze on a beach day is lost sales by the hour. Check the mix ratio, clear the vents and call.
Why is my soda fountain pouring flat or watery drinks?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

High

Low CO2 pressure, a failing carbonator pump or a syrup to water ratio that’s drifted out of spec. In drop in dispensers, the cold plate needs ice on top; when the bin runs low on a busy day, drinks pour warm and lose carbonation. Check CO2 and syrup first, then call. Flat soda is a refund at the counter.
Why does my coffee brewer brew weak coffee during the morning rush?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

The water isn’t hot enough, a clogged spray head is missing the grounds, or back to back batches are outrunning the brewer’s recovery. Good extraction needs water at roughly 195°F to 205°F. Weak coffee sends summer customers down the street. Call for a temperature and spray head check.
Why is my espresso machine losing pressure or pulling uneven shots?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

A worn pump, a tired group head gasket or scale in the boiler. Very soft water can be a problem too: water with too few minerals can corrode boilers and makes shots taste flat. Uneven shots mean wasted coffee and slow tickets in the morning rush. Book a group gasket and water check.
Why is my ice machine making cloudy or thin cubes?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

A clogged water filter, low water pressure, scale on the evaporator plate or a harvest cycle out of adjustment. Thin cubes melt fast and water down drinks. Replace the filter on schedule, and if cubes stay thin, have the machine descaled and adjusted.
Why is my soda foaming over the cup?
URGENCYLIKELY CAUSES

Medium

Usually warm product or CO2 pressure set too high. A cold plate without enough ice, a carbonator not cooling, or dirty nozzles all cause foaming. Every foamed pour wastes syrup and slows the line. Refill the ice over the cold plate and call if the foaming continues.

Do you offer soda machine repair in West Yarmouth and across Cape Cod?

Yes. Harris Warren provides soda machine and beverage equipment repair from its West Yarmouth office across Barnstable and Plymouth Counties. That includes Hyannis, Dennis, Falmouth, Mashpee, Sandwich and Harwich Port, and across the Cape Cod Canal to Wareham and Plymouth.

We repair soda fountains and carbonators, frozen drink machines, ice machines and coffee and espresso equipment. Ice and soda calls during summer service hours are prioritized, since that’s when a down machine costs the most.

How often should ice machines and coffee equipment be cleaned or descaled?

Most ice machine manufacturers call for cleaning and sanitizing at least every six months, and more often in busy or hot kitchens. Water filters are typically changed about every six months as well. Coffee and hot water equipment should be descaled on a schedule set by your water and volume.

Much of the Cape’s water is soft, so coffee equipment may need less descaling than in hard water areas, but ice machines still grow slime in warm, humid kitchens. A maintenance plan can put all of it on one schedule before and during peak season.

Can you repair a soda fountain that my beverage supplier owns?

Many soda fountains are owned by, or serviced under an agreement with, the beverage company that supplies the syrup. Check that agreement first; if the supplier covers repairs, calling them avoids paying twice.

If you own the dispenser, or the problem is in equipment around it, such as the ice machine, the cold plate ice supply, the carbonator or the plumbing to the machine, Harris Warren can service it. When you’re not sure who owns what, call us and we’ll help you figure out who to call.

Which ice machine brands does Harris Warren service?

Harris Warren services equipment from 44 manufacturers, including ice machine brands Hoshizaki, Manitowoc Ice, Scotsman, Ice-O-Matic, ICETRO and Motak. That covers cube, nugget and flake machines, plus the bins and dispensers they feed.

If your beverage equipment is from a brand not on that list, call anyway. Our technicians regularly work on coffee, espresso and frozen drink equipment from manufacturers outside our authorized list.

Should I repair or replace an older ice machine?

Repair makes sense when the machine is sound and the fault is a water valve, float, pump, sensor or fan. Consider replacing when the compressor fails on an older machine, when it can’t keep up with your summer demand, or when repairs keep coming back.

If you replace, size for your peak day, not your average one, since that’s when a Cape Cod bar runs out of ice. ENERGY STAR certified ice makers use less energy and water than standard models. Because Harris Warren sells and installs new equipment, your technician can price both options.
